Interkids Bilingual School (IBS) is committed to comply with the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). This is for the protection of our students’ and parents’ personal information which has been processed by the School. This Privacy Policy informs you about the School’s policy and practices about the data privacy matters, before you provide your personal data to the School.
In this Privacy Policy, references to “the School”, “we”, “us”, “our” is a reference to Interkids Bilingual School.
SOURCE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The majority, if not all, of your personal data was provided to the School by you. You may give us your personal data about you in a number of ways including but not limited to:
- using , visiting or interacting with our website (such as filling out forms or registering on our website);
- visiting our offices or schools;
- joining us during an interview or meeting;
- corresponding with us by phone, email, enquiry form, various types of application or registration forms, or post;and
- sending information directly to us, or providing information as requested by us and/or which is necessary from time to time (for instance providing your student application form and etc.)
In some instances, your personal information may have been obtained from external sources including , but not limited to the following:
- Third party service providers that the School use such as G-Suite for Education, Seesaw, Reading A-Z, Classdojo and etc.
- Personal data which is available in the public domain
- Personal data which may be collected from cookies through the use of the School’s website
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?
The School needs to collect and process your child’s and your personal data for various academic, educational and administrative purposes. Overally, the personal data we collect and process, includes but not limited to:
- Name
- Identification number
- Passport number
- Address
- Contact number
- Personal email address
- Photo and images
- Nationality
- Student’s gender
- Date of birth
- Previous qualifications and/or academic transcripts.
- Parent’s/guardian’s marital status
- Emergency contact person(s) details
- Employment/occupation of parents/guardians
- Power of Attorney Certificate
HOW TO WE USE OUR PERSONAL DATA
The objectives that personal data is collected and further processed includes but not restricted to the following:
- To process an application for student admission
- To manage and respond to enquiries
- To maintain a student’s personal details, academic and non-academic records
- To facilitate internship, placement or work experience as well as co-curricular related activities and school events
- To maintain a student/class register
- To provide the relevant administrative support, counseling and guidance services
- To manage the use of facilities such as the library, laboratories and so on
- To administer graduation and alumni related events
- To administer tuition fee and other payments
- To communicate with students on important announcements
- To collect information for relevant local or international statutory authorities or exam boards
- To contact student’s next of kin in case of emergency
- To comply with any regulatory, audit or security related requirements
- To pursue/collect any sums in arrears from parents/guardians
- To care for the medical needs of students
RIGHTS TO ACCESS AND DATA SUBJECT’S OBLIGATION
As the school’s parent/guardian, you have the right to access and correct your personal information held by the School under the Act. We will attempt to keep your records complete, accurate and up-to-date. In case you think that your records with us are inaccurate, incomplete or not updated, please notify the School in a timely manner. Also, if you wish to request access to, or to correct data held by the School, or withdraw your consent to the data processing/use of your personal data by us, please forward your request to the school reception.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
IBS will not disclose your child’s and your personal information to the third party without the consent of your consent. This excludes non-identifiable disclosure of academic records for the purposes of accreditation, academic research, statistical analysis and disclosure under subpoena by Thai law.
RIGHTS TO ACCESS AND DATA SUBJECT’S OBLIGATION
The School’s privacy policy may be reviewed and amended from time to time. We will communicate such changes along with the updated Policy on the School websites (www.ibs.ac.th)
IBS reserves the right to change and updated the Privacy Policy as deemed appropriate by the School.
